Easy to use

Easy to use, but mainly Western channels. Hope that there could be more choices of Asian TV and movie channels in Mandarin.

I bought this device approximately 3 months ago. I really enjoy this device and saves me a lot of money. Which on a fixed income is great. Though I really do wish that cbs would join this crew. I love my cbs and is the only reason why I want to switch back to my cable plan. Other than that I really enjoy it...I recommend it to everyone I know!!!

Simple Setup and Excellent Quality

After looking at my options, I decided a month ago to get the Roku 3 for our family's streaming media use. Apart from basic descriptions I didn't know exactly what to expect, but once I received the player, I was blown away.
The unboxing process was extremely friendly, guiding me through nearly all aspects of setup. The device itself is well designed with a logical layout that makes for easy connections, and the remote is super simple to understand and use.
The setup process for creating a Roku account and connecting Netflix and adding other channels was also incredibly simple. At no point did I experience any real difficulty in setup.
My older family members, who generally have a hard time learning new devices and remotes even got the hang quite easily of navigating and watching various channels.
I've had it connected both via ethernet and via wifi, and I can safely say that it streams smoothly and perfectly. I have yet to have a problem with anything I do on the Roku 3. For the advanced user, there are plenty of options to work with, but for the basic user, setup can be incredibly simple.
Content availability is fantastic, my only issue is the current lack of support for Youtube as a channel. Otherwise, the content selection is huge -- both free and paid/premium.
I definitely love this player!

Lost Pairing with Remote

I had the Roku 3 about 3 1/2 months and the remote loses pairing with the unit intermittenly even while watching Netflix. It would works after I reset the unit. It happens the samething after I replaced with new batteries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good but not good enought

I bought this because it would be easy to use for other members of the family but still have to 2 major issues. 1. It doesn't play my own Media (support my own media as a WD player does). 2. There is no internet browser so it's not able to connect to Wifi that has a secondary security (most Hotels have this secondary security). What it does do well is once you are connected to your home network it will take your media and adds a nice user interface including covers to better show movie details.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy and Convenient

Like the simplicity and choices for movies and TV. We use it for Amazon Prime currently and the movies stream perfectly. We just purchased one Roku3 and found that moving it to another TV was very easy. Just unplug and install on another TV. It involves one power cord and one HDMI. We use wifi in the house moving it is not complicated if your looking to save some money and just buy one Roku. Stetting up the account online was fast and easy and. The moment you have it activated the Roku is ready, no delay.
