I bought this a couple of months ago and am glad I did. I got rid of my dish and for the exception of 3 shows, I am still watching all the programs I was watching before.

I bought this a few months ago. I became hooked on the Breaking Bad series and was able to review all the seasons 1-5 with no commercial interruptions very easily.

Added a lot to my HD Tv Set

The ability to watch HULU, Netflix and Amazon.com videos on my TV instead of being chained to my computer screen is a blessing. I thought it might be hard to set up, it wasn't . Hooked it up, you do need HDMI cable (so that was an unplanned trip to the store). Should either be included with added charge or the customer should be told to order one with the purchase.. Otherwises it is delivered, you get all excited, and then have to go buiy a cable which is my case is 25 minutes away.
Product itself is a breeze to setup, just follow directions. Lots of features I had fun exploirng like running a slide show and playing my music at the same tme

Absolutely LOVE Roku!

I work in the digital industry and have tried all imaginable connected devices. The Roku 3 is by far my favorite.
Like all connected devices, they have HBO Go, Netflix, YouTube, etc. and they look great.
Unlike all connected devices, Roku 3 also has hundreds of other apps for any interests. I'm a huge fan of podcasts and old radio serials. Wouldn't you know it, there's apps for the Adam Carolla podcast network and an old radio serials app! I can spend a whole day just downloading and trying out new apps!
The games are pretty cool, but not my forte. If you're an Angry Birds fan, it comes free on the Roku and works great.
Finally, the price. It can't be beat. I saw it on some Black Friday deals for $39.99. To think, 20 years ago you couldn't even get a VCR for $40, now you can get an internet connected device with an endless amount of HD content. Mind = blown.

I hesitated to get a Roku box, to mainly provide some acceptable viewing choices and reduce my cable expenses. I love Roku and the variety of choices. I don't watch much TV but love the ability to select from a lot of free offerings and pick what I want to watch, all for a very low initial investment (the Roku device). I recommend this to all of my friends who are looking to have free options and reduce their cable bills

My wife oredered this on line. We have an analog TV still. Luckily, there's digital to analog converters available and when we do get that big screen, we'll have the top of the line Roku for plugging in. There's an abundance of content available. Lots of subscription channels as well as free ones. The Roku 3 is very compact and unobtrusive.

Good streaming device

I recently bought a Roku 3 and I think it works quite well. I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the whole 'streaming' thing so I guess my only disappointment is the real availability of shows and movies. Perhaps as I become more hip to this tech I'll like this even more. It is very easy to use and delivers a high quality 1080p image. I really don't get the need to have the remote have a motion sensing feature. I mean, really, who cares? I think it's just a battery sapper.
