I've had a Roku 1 and now I've recently upgraded to the Roku 3. The earlier version had a few issues - a slowish processor, no game support, an occasional watchdog reset, and an infrared only remote. The new Roku 3 is much, much better because the processor is faster, the interface is more intuitive, the remote functions over radio frequency so line-of-sight is not necessary, and the headphone jack on the remote is a nice bonus.
The only con I've found is not a fault with the Roku itself. Some of the apps which bring internet content into your living room are not so well written and it is possible to have your watching interrupted by a glitch/bug in the programming of that software. Bear in mind - I don't think Roku writes all of the channel software in the channel store, so I think the blame goes to the developer of those channels.
I use this primarily for Netflix, Amazon.com, and Revision3 channels. All of those are pretty good at streaming high quality video and for the most part the interface on those channels is fairly good. The exception here is Netflix. The older Netflix app was much better and I can't imagine what they were thinking when they redesigned it. I'd much prefer the older Netflix app over the one on the Roku 3.
Haven't played games on it, so don't know how well that works yet.

Intuitive and Foolproof

One of the few devices I have purchased for internet/TV integration that works just as advertised and is easy to install. Interface is intuitive. No user manual necessary

The Roku 3 is easy to use and plenty of TV and movie selections from other sources, I bought this unit to lower my outrages cable bill, so far so good.
