Batteries

I really like my new Roku 3 but, when I use the headphones the batteries don't last very long. It seems like I have to change them about every 4th movie. As far as I can tell there is no electrical device that can be hooked to it. I guess I will but stock in Everyready

Even though the roku 3 is a little more spendy than the other roku's. It is totally worth it. I've upgraded from a roku 2 HD to the roku 3 and find it to be a far better machine.
What sets roku 3 away from the others is, the roku 3 has a dual-core processor. It also has games and features that other roku's can not get. Far as I know, roku 3 is the only dual-core roku. Which makes a huge difference all the way around. Loading screens and games load much faster. The dual-core doesn't work as hard, where my old roku did get hot. I modded my old roku with a heatsink and fan. Also my old roku would studder playing amazon videos in HD. Roku 3 has none of those issues. It stays pretty cool, and plays with amazon videos like nothing is there. At first buying the roku 3, I thought I was wasting money just to watch some movies. Now I am glad I paid extra to get the better roku. It's also nice to watch live events on the roku 3, which was not a option on my old roku.

Purchased my Roku 3 a little more than a month ago. I probably bought a more advanced model than I needed as I am using it for Netflix only. It is very user friendly once you get it set up which was fairly easy also. I am able to view Netflix on my computer, bedroom television and Kindle Fire. With viewing on so many devices, I have found that I need to remember what episode I am watching as it does not always
start where I left off on different devices.

Roku 3 offers more than Apple TV. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be the Netflix format. With Roku, when you click on Netflix. It doesn't have an icon you can click on that shows Netflix's new releases. But on Apple it does. Of course Apple TV lets you view items on You Tube. So I have Roku 3 upstairs and Apple TV downstairs.

So glad we bought another Roku...this one is in our bedroom and the best part of this Roku is, it has a input jack for headphones so if one person wants to sleep and the other person wants to finish a movie we just plug in the headphones and continue watching our movie

I have had a boxee, a wdtv live and now a roku 3. The Roku is fantastic!!! I use plex to stream media from my computer, Netflix and nhl game center. Only complaint is no native media streaming but who would use native when plex gets all of the cover art and synopsis for you? PERFECT for my needs!

I've had my Roku 3 for over a month now and I love it! I am able to watch movies and all of my favorite shows on my schedule without having to set the DVR. I also was able to significantly cut back on my cable service. As I add more channels and learn more about what is available, I am sure I will soon be cable free. Cut the cord!!
