Best investment for your television veiwing

Cancel you cable subscription and get a Roku ASAP. You will save hundreds $$$ a Year. Roku is great device for watching Netflix, Amazon prime and lots of other great channels, some for free. In addition watch your movies & TV shows saved on you PC or MAC. Only down side, not compatible with all video file formats Such as AVI and MKV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super fast and neat, but not good for my needs

I couldn't stream anything from my phone to Roku easily. Decided to go with Chromecast which supports Songza e.g. and it's way cheaper. There are some apps for streaming from android, but they are mostly very unreliable and poor, plus expensive (yes not free).
Roku was pretty fast and neat though, the remote was good, but not worth the extra $70 or so for me.
Also the channels are 90% useless, don't be much hopeful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Remote has pairing issues

Overall I like the Roku 3 over the Apple TV due to the expanded content. One big problem is that the remote seems it periodically lose pairing with the player. I have to hard reboot the player to repair it with the remote, which is annoying and needs a better fix.

We Love our Roku 3!

We use our Roku 3 daily! We have a Roku 1 which is great but the Roku 3 has updated capabilities such as the ability to have 5 profiles allowing each member of my family to have their own list of shows. This way the kids can have their cartoons and we can have our grown up shows separate!
Roku 3 also gave us the ability to dump our cable because we found that almost all of the shows we watched were on Roku...saving us BIG Money every month!
Thank you Roku for bring the Roku 3 to consumers!

It's got many awesome channels that provide tv service, movies, music, and much more! needless to say it's super fast. Overall, its a great product.
