I Love Roku 3, but I don't like where they put the o'k button on the remote. I like the o'k button that is in the middle on my other Roku better.

A nice upgrade

Bought this to replace Logitech Revue, as they stopped supporting Amazon Prime. Glad to find that this device is more modern, faster and very nice to use. Only downside is lack of a browser and YouTube - both of which are pretty substantial downsides. You can see I like everything else pretty well, as I still give it 4 stars!

Roku solves vexing problems!

It seems strange that a little $99.00 purchase ranks as my favorite tech purchase for years. I watch only a little TV, so my screen time feels precious. I had been struggling with a Samsung Bluetooth Wi-fi receiver for several years. It was extremely slow to load, like 5-10 minutes by the time it got to Netflix; then it would freeze, need to be rebooted (5-10 minutes...), then play, but sometime in the video, it would freeze again.
The Roku loads instantly. It goes to the Netflix screen instantly. Then it takes a few seconds, and loads a very easy to use interface. If the selection is a series (we love British crime series), after one episode finishes, a synopsis of the next episode comes up, and loads automatically in twenty or thirty seconds unless one tells it not to.
The Roku has never locked up, never even stuttered. It always delivers HD quality.
We love it. If I had it to do again, I would buy one in a second. I may buy the $80.00 version since we really didn't need the souped up remote.

A great alternative to cable box

I really like all the new features that Roku have added in the last month or so. I have Time Warner Cable and the app on Roku is improving all the time. The player has worked solidly for me. The player is very easy to install and get started. The one negative is that there is not enough audio hook ups for me. My TV is very basic and when I buy the top of the line Roku. I would like to see the most features. Overall I knew this when getting it. I really glad that I got this player. It has really made watching TV more enjoyable and it saves me money by not having to buy an extra cable box.

After having the Apple TV 1, 2 and 3, I was finally able to get a roku3. It is faster in streaming than the apple tv. I don't miss having itunes available and LOVE having Amazon Prime available. Why can't all these companies play well together? The apple tv's remote is much sleeker which I do prefer but overall I much prefer the roku3.
