Very good but...

I love how my Roku 3 made so easy to stream movies from my iMac to my TV, besides its channel lineup has a lot of content, not everything is great but after a bit of research, I was able to find a few gems. What I don't like is that even when Netflix is in my country, I can't access it with my Roku just because I'm not in USA. That is, if you ask me, dumb to say the least. In a few occasions I've been tempted to switch to an Apple TV where I can get Netflix without a problem even when Apple is not officially supported in my country either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love that we no longer have a cable bill. With Hulu, netflix, and amazon instant video we still get all of our favorite shows and movies. the video quality is great as is the selection. I just wish I could figure out how to get the local news.

The Roku 3 is an amazing product that brings all digital content to your living room with one device. Also with the ability to take video from external hard drives is a definite plus.

I have been using a Roku for about 7 years now and have had an extremely pleasant experience with it , however it was beginning to show some wear and tear and I decided to lay a well worn friend to rest and get a more up-to-date version .There is only one word to describe it - AMAZING !

I picked up one of these for the TV in my kid's playroom. She is going through her Yo Gabba Gabba/Mickey Mouse phase. I can get on Netflix or Amazon and play anything she wants. Some of the games are pretty sweet too. If you want a streaming media player, get yourself a Roku 3. My only complaint is how the unit hangs off the TV, I wish it were a little bit more secure because the clips are pretty cheap. Maybe these will be packaged with 3M command strips in the future.

EASY SETUP, LOTS OF OPTIONS!

I have owned the Roku3 for about two months now; and I become more and more satisfied as the days go by! It syncs well with other devices; like smart phones and tablets and desktops. Picture quality is good through wifi (on lite service) and is probably better hard lined with an ethernet cable; some apps have better quality than others I notice. I do think that it should have come with an HDMI cable; it could have been a total package. STILL; it is alot better than my friend's Apple TV; especially now that it has YouTube! The only thing that would make it better is if channels would provide individual subcriptions; like being able to have FOX news stream live for a small monthly fee or something like that.

Got it a couple months ago & love it.Easy enough to give to a non-tech relative! Be careful of some independent channels tho:put on a cooking show & the language & humor was a hard 'R'!There was no content warning to let me know that I wouldn't want my kids to watch it.Also,don't expect to be able to watch network stations except PBS.Still better deal than anything cable offers.

I bought this a few weeks back and its exactly as described. I really have enjoyed
every minute of it and I recommend the roku 3, because its a lot faster.
