Great features, easy to use.

My wife loves this. Frees us from cable and the bills. We love the various different channels and the private ones that you can add. Just not a lot of live sport channels unless you subscribe, but we really do not miss them that much. The ability to use the USB is also really nice and using PLEX as a media server.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After my WD HDTV thing started buffering out of control, I returned it and bought a Roku 3 and have not had any buffering issues since. Of course, now that I've said that, it will start giving me problems I'm sure. Anyway, the Roku works great and is easy to use. I like the fact that there is no on/off button and was very easy to set up.

I bough the Roku 3 in an attempt to "Cut the Cable", due to extreme prices. I do not conside myself very tech savvy. I guess I didn't realize how subscription channels worked. Roku 3 advertises 100 channels but most have to pay monthly vs inscriptions to view. If did would pay a lot more than my old cable bill. Plus a lot of movie channels are expensive per movie. For example, VUDU cost $4.99 per movie and most movies are older. Can buy those movies at Walmart for $9.99 to $14.99.

It works really well, however a lot of the channels you have to have cable for in order to be able to watch them. I don't have cable so it's a little bit frustrating. There are tons of channels though and its pretty easy to find something to watch. I would recommend this to anyone looking to give cable the boot

I getting rid of cable but keeping cable internet

I have been dissatisfied with the over bloated programming of cable TV offered at a premium price, I mean, seriously the price of cable now falls in the price range of a car payment. Come on, we live in a world where people want to watch what they want when they want. I have been saying for years that I would invest in a company that provide me with tv movies and videos in Ala carte format. Roku has brought me closer to that dream. I am going to buy a few more and give them to my friends as Christmas gifts!

This will be the second Roku that I have owned and have yet to be disappointed. I have tried multiple other solutions and still have a hard time finding anything that is as stable and or offers as many features straight out of the box.
