Perfect home entertainment

Awesome device that takes up so little space, yet provides so much in the way of features! Design simple yet elegant and the menu is very easy to navigate. Nothing else comes close.

Great product, great picture tons of channels, love streaming you tube using Plex. Should have switched years ago. Don't miss cable at all. Do it.

I LOVE IT!!! I'm in my mid 60's and most people my age can't set up tech stuff but the ease in which I was able to do it had me using it within 5 minutes after hooking it up.

Love the program search across all channels

I have used the Roku 3 almost six months now. It is a very, very good streaming device with easy setup, plenty of program choices, good screen layout and a very useful search function that checks across all program channels rather than requiring checking each channel for the desired program.
The great RF remote (much better than the infared remotes used on most home entertainment devices such as TVs, DVDs and the Apple TV) works without worrying about where it is pointing or where the Roku 3 is. You can even put the Roku behind the TV and the remote still works. I like the headphone jack on the remote. It is particularly useful if you are hard of hearing and want to use high quality headphones to bring sound clarity.
Amazon Prime Video is there along with Netfilx and Hulu but where is YouTube? I have to use my Apple TV to get YouTube.

A Good Alternative to Cable

There is nothing like live streaming, but Roku would be a good alternative if you have no Cable or would like to cut on expenses for the ever rising cable cost now a days. I only have 2 minimum requirements for tv programing and I can sacrifice having no cable in the house - these are Fox news and ETWN. Roku at least has these 2 and I am content with it for now. However, unlike EWTN that tapes the entire show for video on demand; Fox News on the other hand, are only clips of portion of shows and sometimes very frustrating to watch if you want to have more of say, the O'Reilly show. I made a suggestion to the rep that there should be a play list feature on Roku so I can line up clips from my channels and then watch them one after another without switching channels or shows. I'd keep my Roku for now that I am still setting up my small business but I am going back to cable when I have more time to watch.
I have a Roku 2 and it doesn't have a feature for earphone. I don't know why it doesn't have on Roku2 when it has on Roku3.

Great Content

Aside from not having YouTube. Roku 3 is great it still has lots of content through its applications. Frankly if you like watching movies, TV shows, and music through Pandora or your own music this is it! However some of the services required to pay a monthly fee, but if you want to fully enjoyed Roku 3 its applications fees are a price worth considering.
