Great features, easy to use

I fell in love with roku years ago and back then it was just a plain little plain box. I purchased two more in the last month and I love the new small design with all of the new features. Love how easy it is to use.

Huuuugge value add / money saver. I now have more access to all my favorite online content. I feel more in control over my content than ever. Bought Roku to help me cut cable which I'm doing soon. Love it.

I've had all models of Roku over the last few years and they all worked very good and I enjoyed the simplicity of the of them. They all were straight forward and easy to navigate. But recently you changed the visual format to the point that it's nearly impossible to follow. It's way too cluttered with pictures and information that serves no purpose.. It is too confusing to figure out and even when you do it seems that it doesn't work all the time. I would a lot rather see it changed back to the simple way it was before. If I can find another product that is comparable to your old format I'll changer to that...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent stream quality

Purchased this after our BluRay player went out and could no longer watch Netflix on our TV. This little thing is easily 10x faster for streaming than our BluRay unit ever was. I'm also enjoying wide variety of free channels available. They all stream really well and I have no slowdown no matter what I'm watching. My 6 yr/old figured out how to use the remote the first time he picked it up. Very easy to use product and fast setup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Major Step Forward In Streaming TV

I have very impressed with the robust feature set and innovative thinking behind ROKU. Finding new channels each week is a new crave. Most of all I enjoy the fact that there are so many quality faith based channels. ROKU serves a growing market of people and communities that value television that is meaningful to them.
How easy is it? I am buying another one this Christmas for my elderly parents!
The controller in ingenious. Very easy to use and understand. Using it for games is quite surprisingly cool. The remote is not dependent on direct line of sight and will move the cursor as you move your hand around.
The best part is the headphone jack built right into the remote with volume control. No more worries about waking the spouse and I stay up watching all kinds of unique, original and network programs.
The quality of the video image when streaming from a station in HD is impressively good. It's fast too for a streaming media box.
The interface on screen very good for the most part. But in my opinion could use some maturing. The iconic channel images can be moved around, but it would be nice to have categories to setup your listings.
The in-channel interface is solid, but in my opinion looks somewhat outdated. Portico is one channel that has custom built their own interface that is quite nice.
As a full time television and multimedia producer, I have been around streaming media since it's inception and am rooting for products like ROKU. While I know it's a technical challenge, the more these streaming interfaces look and act like familiar cable set top boxes, the better.
It would be cool to see a "live" channel guide where you can channel change between your favorites Without seeking out content. The primary difference between streaming media and TV is this: With TV the content comes to you. With streaming, you must come to the content, which makes "vegging out" a tad more work intensive.
But having said all of that, ROKU is at the top for many great reasons. And it's obvious they are growing. I am very much looking forward to the future with my ROKU. With AppleTV I already know it - a limited/restricted set of content with a high ongoing price tag.
Last, I truly appreciate it that ROKU is open to diverse content without interference. The more channels the better, and you are free to start one for yourself with this great little box with the purple tag.

Great technology and user friendly!

We needed to upgrade from streaming movies and shows from the game console to a real HD experience and this Roku 3 was the perfect fit. My wife and kids can navigate this easily as it is very user friendly. Media streaming is quick and we've not had any issues for a few months now.
