Lots of channels BUT:

I have been enjoying the Ruko 3 that I purchased about 3 months ago. For the most part it works well.It does seem to have some issues with resetting it so the sound is clear and not distorted.
I called support tonight and it worked or one movie, then again it was distorted and I had to play with the settings to get it work. When it works it works good it is an enjoyable alternative to regular tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice to have, but not what I was hoping for

Roku 3 does everything it says it does and met my criteria for buying which wasn't all that much.  I needed something to get my Amazon cloud player to stream across my home theater system.  This worked, but then I switched to Google Play All Access Music, so now Google's Chromecast is more my speed.
What I still want is to be able to cast from my browser (either laptop, tab, or phone) to my TV.  Problem is on my side though, stuck with my work laptop at the moment.  Kindle HDX won't cast either.
My advice for Roku:  get some exclusives if at all possible, figure out how to get an app so that I can stream anything from my computer, tab, or phone to my TV via a Roku player.  Dongles are nice, because the bezel of my TV hides it (less clutter).  Figure out a way to encourage more people to create private channels (or public).  I really enjoy the Bloomberg news, Democracy Now, and the Nowhere Channels (specifically Nowhere Pr0n).

Great Streaming

Much quicker and smoother than any other device we've used. .Absolutely no lag with Netflix. Plenty of free channels with great content. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that sound sometimes drops when using the headphones. Otherwise picture and sound through TV are crystal clear.

We bought our first Roku last February for the living room and fell in love with it! We bought a second one in June for our bedroom and are now buying a third for our family room. I continue to find new surprises using our Roku's. I just discovered yesterday that I can stream all of my music from my smartphone through to the Roku using the free Android app to play all of my favorites over the entertainment system! I used the Roku chat support yesterday to see if there was anything special that I needed to be aware of or to do to add a third Roku and the support person - Victoria quickly got me going the right direction. I was actually surprised that there was less than a minute hold time to get the support I was looking for.
Roku rocks!

Great little box

I really love this thing.  It replaces a Windows 7-based HTPC that was pretty much just used for Netflix.  We like to use our Roku for Netflix and Pandora.
