Absolutely No Difficulty with the ROKU 3!

The installation was a snap! The initial setup was straight forward. It has worked perfectly. Even this 74 year-old had NO problems. What more could be asked of a $100 product?

I've had this for a few months in conjunction with dumping cable TV. This has been invaluable in making this transition happen. It does everything well however there are a couple areas that need some improvement but don't warrant a full star off.
Between Aereo, Amazon and Plex this makes it a perfect device for dumping cable. If you have friends willing to share their cable login you have have ESPN and Disney channel too.

Easy Set-Up, Easy to Use

I can not put up a "dish" because of all the tall trees around my house. The Roku allows me to get many channels and stations that I don't get though my cable TV company. I tried a Logitech and it was difficult to set up and use. Several of the stations/channels I wanted I would have had to subscribe to and pay a fee with Logitech. With Roku I can get all the stations I want and couldn't before.

When we first bought the roku 3 we were very pleased. However then we started having connection issues. These issues happen randomly where the roku 3 looses reception when nothing else does. So when it is working, it is great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had it for several months. it works great. occasionally an app will be buggy like hulu but overall I think it is a great way to stream video. If only there were a way to stream live sports I could get rid of cable.

Better than cable

For years I subscribed to cable and got hundreds of channels, but only watched a select few consistently. Roku is a great alternative and a fraction of the price of cable. The best part you can watch what you want when you want to. Roku has cured me from the curse of cable....forever!!

Great entertainment

I decided to buy a Roku 3 for a couple of reasons. A friend of mine had a previous edition and he recommended it. Additionally, I was looking for something that I could use to watch HBO Go, Watch ESPN, and NBC Live Sports Extra on a bigger TV. I had been watching those apps on a 19 inch monitor and my Samsung tablet was not capable of mirroring that programming because it was not HDMI ready. I was a little disappointed to find out that Watch ESPN and NBC Live Sports Extra were not part of the Roku programming. I am pleased to say that Watch ESPN has since been added and I'm really hoping the same thing will happen with NBC Live Sports Extra so I can watch more Premier League football. I love that I can watch my favorite college sports team whenever I want and I'd highly recommend this device.
