Works for me, I have Roku 2&3 units

I am happy with Roku, received the Roku 2 for Christmas in 2012, was so impressed bought Roku 3 for living room and put Roku 2 in the bedroom.
Only con on Roku is not being able to get the USA feeds, probably Canadian regulations prevent the use of American feed.

Takes the place of my 3ABN dish

I moved but could not put up my religious 3ABN satellite dish. A tech. told me about this little box,it kept me connected to the channels I love.

Not a bad Investment!

I bought this for my fiance as she works a 7pm to 7am shift. She is used to staying up late and I work only AM shifts. This Roku 3 was perfect for us. With the Headphone jack in the remote, we can sleep together and she can lay next to me and watch TV via headphones. Thank you Roku for making this, it has brought my fiance and I THAT much closer.

Last May I had to retire from my job of 22 years. With our income changing we needed to make some changes in how our money was going to be spent. We had just received our bill from a satellite company and saw that once again there was an increase in our bill. Someone had told me about Roku so I looked it up on the internet. We liked what we saw and decided to try it out. The day it arrived and we hooked it up we cancelled the Satellite. Paying only a one time price for the Roku was a big plus for us. We do subscribe to Hulu Plus and Netflix but that amount is nothing compared to what we were paying for Satellite. We have down loaded lots of apts and have rented movies. There is so much available for us to watch. And one of the best thing is virtually no long commercials to deal with. We can watch a whole TV show and only have to watch a 15 second ad. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Roku. The only thing we wish we could get is NFL Football. But the people at Roku told me they are working on it. In the mean time if my husband wants to watch football he goes to a place that has big screen TV's and watched it there.

After huge bills from my satellite provider, I decided to go rogue and just stream over my iPad. My brother bought me the Roku 3 for my birthday, and I will NEVER go back. Do I mind that I have to watch my favorite shows the next day or so? No....because I DVR'd everything before. Very pleased, and I tell EVERYONE. Seriously, I should get a commission check!

This Roku (along with the built-in Netflix on my other TV) has replaced cable TV and satellite in my house. I got sick of the constantly rising prices. Not having to constantly call the cable company for TV issues has taken some stress out of my life as well.
The small size and non-IR remote make this perfect for a low-profile (wall mount) installation in a bedroom, kitchen, etc.
At first I used wireless with the Roku because there wasn't an available network jack close enough to use. During this period of time, the Roku would freeze up almost daily and the only way to get it responsive again was the pull the power cord. This shouldn't happen.
Once I hooked this up to an ethernet cable, it met almost all of my expectations. I still haven't found a simple way to access content on a NAS, however.
I would recommend this to a friend!
