So much better than the Roku 2

Replaced my Roku 2 with the Roku 3 and very happy I did! The Roku 3 is so much faster, easier to navigate, and solves all of the issues I had with Netflix on the Roku 2 (which is primarily what we watch, along with Amazon Video). Of course, maybe some of it was problems caused by Netflix's software on the older model, but I don't care at this point... I'm just happy I upgraded!

I downgraded my satellite package after purchasing the Roku 3 soon after it came out. I have never owned any dedicated streaming box before. It is vastly superior to my blu-ray player for netflix and hulu playback. The remote is top notch and I love the small size of the player itself. It's easy to hide and with the remote being wifi you don't have to worry about something blocking the remote's receiver. I have dozens of channels installed and check for new ones weekly.

So easy to stream Netlix, Hulu, Prime (plus lots of other available channels) to the TV without giving up the computer. Really great device. Highly recommend. I'm even giving one to my mom for Christmas. We cut the cable, got an antenna for local stations, started listening to local sports on the radio if they're not on local channels, which we really enjoy. We're saving a ton of cash. We're also really enjoying all the original content on the three services mentioned above. Great stuff.

I upgraded from an older model and I am so glad I did! So many more features! I dropped cable tv several years ago and don't miss it one bit.

This device does everything that it says it does. It is a very responsive device, 5 x faster than Roku 2. There is a lot of content that you can stream. Plex works great if you need to stream Canadian TV content (need to run the server from your computer to stream the content), too bad it does not have an internet browser so you can view Canadian TV directly from the device. Despite this one pet peeve, I think that it is a very slick device that does exactly what it is advertised to do. If you have a Boxee Box, you should replace it with this device. I would recommend this device to anyone.
I hope they will add an official youtube app to it, however you can work around this by adding the "myVideoBuzz" to it as a developer app.
