Didn't know what I was missing

I can't believe how great this product is, being able to access Netflix, Redbox,Blockbuster all on my tv. I even bought a new stereo receiver so I could hook it up to my surround sound.

The cable companies need to be very afraid

I am not particularly tech-savvy, but had no problem installing my Roku. My cable company thought they could raise prices endlessly. Now I'm saving about $70.00
per month and have much better programming, with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and others.

Great product with a couple of small problems

Love the product, love that it brings all of my streaming accounts into one easy to use place on my TV. 2 minor complaints is that sometimes I will search for a movie on the Roku search and it won't come up, but then I'll go into Netflix and see that it is actually available. The other is that there is no You Tube channel. Otherwise I love it and will continue to use it and recommend it to others.

Very easy to set up and use. The free choices are almost all that I need. I only use one purchased channel and the times that I have used the Roku, there was enough choices for me.

I bought this for our front room. We actually like using this better than the wii, as the remote is more user friendly. There are a lot of channels to select from but we basically use it for Netflix and Pandora. I liked the option of using earbuds on the remote, as my teenager likes watching shows that I don't really care to listen to. Very user friendly. I have had to reboot it a couple of times, but it seems to respond to the soft reboot. You can get that code on a Roku community site.

Roku 3 - endless entertainment

If you always wanted to get one, but didn't, now is the time to get one - and get latest version 3. Every thing you always wondered about Roku and if it can do it, the answer is is 'yes'. It can. And with all official and un-official channels available, there is so much more you can do it's quite awesome. My favorite is to hook up my VoyagerAir to Roku's USB port and ...voila.... a ton of movies available for instant watching.
Remote, with it's dedicated headphone jack, its simply awesome. And it's radio controlled, not infrared. Meaning...I can be in the basement doing laundry and still listed to the show I have been watching. Or....late at night, I am blasting an action flick with missus sleeping not 30 feet away...and none's the wiser.

There is one thing Roku 3 ( and all previous ) unit is missing - a small hard drive to pre-cache the content. There is no real reasons why the company is not adding one. Heck, if Microsoft can do it with Xbox, then Roku can do it as well.

This is an upgrade from an older Roku that I had. There are so many more things I can do with my Roku 3. It is extremely easy to use too. I love the ease of finding what I'm looking for over the entire array of venues available.
