Works wonderfully - but not totally in love

I got this a while back - and have used it daily since then. It always works - it's never let me down. So why only 4 stars? Mostly because it's because many of the channels that are offered - are pay-channels - and the problem is that you need to sign up for these in order to see if you want to actually use them. The "free trials" pretty much include actually signing up with your credit card - and then if you decide you don't want it - you have to go through the process of un-subscribing - which is a pain.
Having said that - I mostly got it for Netflix (YES I PAY FOR THAT) - but I already was doing that - this just moves it to my TV and it is really convenient. I love that. I also love the PBS channel and the TED channel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Its the only product that gives you access all the channels. I like how I can search for title across all channels. Mgo has great selection of movies.

I actually watch TV again!

I have had the Roku 3 for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. I use it for Plex, Amazon Prime, Youtube, and Netflix primarily. The OS and applications are kept up-to-date which is refreshing in this day and age. I was so impressed with Roku 3 that I bought one for a friend. I have an older LCD TV and had no desire to spend a lot of money on a new "Smart TV." The Roku is a very nice set top box that gracefully and inexspensively provides what a very expensive smart TV does. The headphone jack on the remote is brilliant sa well.
My only gripe is that there is not an official Youtube applicaiton.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this several months ago. Only complaint I have is that out of the blue it disengages from the WiFi. Has happened many times, once it happened 15 times in a 2 hour span. What is funny is that none of the other WiFi devices disconnected. Wife was watching in the den, via Blu-ray player, a Netflix movie, and I was watching Lilly Hammer. So go figure. Other than their rearrangement of items it seems to work OK.

Great upgrade

I've had a XS for several years and purchased a new 3. The interface update and speed of the unit are well worth the money. The only negative is the new OK button-I prefer the integrated design within the arrow/mouse key.
