Fast and Reliable

Since upgrading to the Roku 3 we have enjoyed faster loading times and fewer (if any) interruptions during a movie. There are more channels available and accessible than before.

I've actually had it for almost a year during which time the number of shows has expanded including news and sports. It is now possible for me to consider eliminating my outrageous cable bills.

Have some issues with being dropped in middle of some shows and some music channels intermittent reception. May not be a ROKU issue but problem with ISP and music channels band width.

My family has used the Roku 3 for about 2 months now. Overall, it has been a big hit - video playback is fantastic, Netflix, Hulu+, etc work great.
I have two issues I'd like to see worked on:
1. The Plex App would greatly benefit by adding search to it. This is one of the best features on the Roku. (I'm guessing this is something Plex might need to add to their app)
2. Some of my folders have lots of files. It can be cumbersome to look through them. I wish the Roku would show the local file system folders - it would be easier to catalog.

A Great Way to See Movies and TV

My Roku provides On Demand TV and movies via NetFlix ,Hulu Plus,Amazon Prime and many more. The only things missing are real time tv and ESPN. In the future it will probably replace satellite dishes and cable with a higher quality and more reliable total entertainment service.

I bought my Roku 3 several months ago. My wife and I love it, the kids love it. It has given excellent HD and steams flawlessly. We subscribe to Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant, and Pandora. All steam with great HD and sound. The unit takes up so little space it is hardly noticeable. Really cannot say more; it has been one of those unknown (to us) product purchases that turned out to be one of our best buys.

I can't believe how easy it is to stream content with the Roku 3. I bought two.
One for a TV in a bedroom. That TV just needs the Roku 3 and power. Extremely easy as far as cabling and wifi setup. No extend runs of cabling needed. No cable box needed. No satellite dish needed.
The second Roku 3 we use for our livingroom. It is now the ,main way we consume media. People are amazed when they visit us when they see the quality and content available on our Roku.
I can't forget about the remote. It is simply the best remote I have ever used despite being very simple to us. Using Wifi compared to Infrared makes a world of difference. Also, we have used the head phone jack on the remote many times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great device better with 3

I had an earlier Roku and we used it so much that the Roku 3 seemed worth the purchase. It was. It's faster, hardly ever freezes, the remote is wifi so it doesn't need direct site, the interface is slick and it just works. We pay for cable b/c we need the Internet and it comes with it for little extra money, but we use the Roku 99% of the time (we do have Netflix and HuluPlus). We also use it to play music through Pandora and Spotify and we like that our tv can have a screen saver from our Picasa photos. It just works and it is a joy to have.
