I'm happy I purchased the Roku3 a month ago. My only complaint is the remote eats batteries, if you use the headset or play games with it.

have had Roku 3 for a few months. have it set up wireless and never seem to have any interruptions in service. i use Amazon Instant Video, Crackle, ESPN, and am trying to dump cable subscription for Hulu + if i can ever convince the kids they will still be able to watch Dance Moms.

A must have for any cord cutter!

As a cord cutter the Roku has been indispensable, we have 4 in our home (the kids rooms, our room, the living room) and the Roku 3 is the best. It's fast and combined with Plex, Netflix, and an antenna it's a perfect fit for any family looking to cut the cord.

The Roku 3 is so much faster than its predecessors. It has a better shape to be able to sit without movement on a table (although I Velcro mine to the wall). The audio input on the control is ingenious for watching while trying to be quiet. The reaction time of a click to the corresponding movement on screen is instantaneous (meaning its big time fast). Best product in its line!

A new way of watching TV

At 58 new technology is hard to embrace. Five years ago my CD player died and thanks to a friend I tried an ipod. The ipod success gave me confidence to try an internet device when economics made me give up cable. I first bought a Roku and since have bought others. The Roku is the only one I use consistently because of its ease of use and vast content, which gets bigger constantly. The others only duplicate Roku poorly or only offer a single unique app. The first day with Netflix was enough to make me fall in love with it. And Amazon and Target are great for extra series. Vudu makes all my ultraviolet movies work. All in all a beautiful alternative to cable for $8/month. (Hulu is still untouched.) (A better keyboard is needed.)

Best streaming player

I have used a blu ray player and an xbox 360 to stream netflix, amazon prime, and hulu and the Roku 3 blew them all out of the water. Usually it took about 20+ seconds to load a show or movie the roku does it in about 4 seconds and it doesn't need to buffer. I had all my players connected directly to the wireless router so it gives it the fastest speed and can really tell the difference between all 3 devices I have used in the past. This is a much better way to watch tv and shows than paying $80 plus a month for cable and I will never be going back to that again.
