I was skeptical as I live in an area that has slow internet speeds, about 3.1mb/sec. We have had trouble using Netflix, etc. through our Blue Ray player. Even though we don't use HD movies because of our speed problem, we have routinely rented SD movies from Amazon Prime through our Roku 3 and they work well with no buffering issues. Stays connected to my Wifi with no problems. Wish I could say that about other devices in my system. The only thing I don't like is the keyboard navigation using the curser, which is quite cumbersome. This is why it only got a 4 stars. Otherwise it's great.

Got rid of satellite and cable and went the internet route. Very responsive compared to non-dedicated internet devices (DVD, TV ...). Have not experienced any buffering problems. I like the way apps work. Some apps require more button clicks than necessary to get to next show. I have found a number of channels with interesting content. I would like to see live streaming options for news and sports - willing to pay rates competitive to satellite and cable.

Works mostly fine

We have two Rokus in the house and use them daily, chiefly as a replacement for cable TV. Occasionally we have had to re-set one of them for no apparent reason. Once I needed to call for assistance and received good directions for re-booting. We would highly recommend the Roku.

I jacked my cable coverage to the fastest available-90megs-and disconnected my standard cable-and I'm still saving 35% off my old bill! Gotta love it!

Easy to use and easy to install

This is my second Roku for our household. We love them. They have allowed us to save money by dropping our expensive cable box and now we can watch the programs that we want rather than be subject to what the cable company wants to show.
