I love my ROKU and have been telling everyone i know to get one. It has solved a lot of problems in my house such as not having cable in my older girls room, now they can access netflix and amazon prime with ease and see all of their shows. I now have 2 of them in my house. If your thinking of getting one go ahead and get it...you won't be disappointed..I'm still discovering all the things it can do...baby loves the Disney app....now I have smart tv in any room in the house

After purchasing the Roku 3 player and using it for about a month, I am very pleased. This device replaced a previous media player from another company that had failed. The Roku 3 has many pros and only a couple of cons that I can point out:
Pros:
- Easy to set up and use software features & menus
- Compact quality designed reliable hardware
- Simple & easy to use remote control with headset capability
- Support for channel/software, hundreds of add-ons; built-in Amazon Instant Video
- Software updates are reliable and error free
- Easy to set up and use software features & menus

- Support for channel/software, hundreds of add-ons; built-in Amazon Instant Video
- Software updates are reliable and error free
Cons:
- Have to find and install USB drive add-on channel
- USB filenames are not visible; no ability to change font size/can't see full file
names on-screen
- No built-in support for DLNA network devices to stream videos from home servers
- Limited video media file type support - most .MP4 and some .MKV types (no .AVI)

I would recommend to acquaintances who want an easy to use media player to replace TV viewing and have limited needs for external content types such as USB media files

My Roku is the best thing I've ever invested in. I was paying a fortune for cable and now I pay $16 a month for Netflix and Hulu Plus and I don't miss cable at all. I would recommend it for anyone.

I bought a ROKU 3 in August 2013 S/N 1GM35M110449 (I lost the receipt) at the FRY in Dallas/Texas.
It works fine for couple months and now it doesn't work. I try to reset but still bad.
Would you please to advise me how to make it work again

I'm on my third Roku and loving all the new features. I had a technical problem on my Roku 3 (which I created myself) and am happy to say that the people at help center came to my rescue and quickly solved my, self created, problem.

Great... but runs through batteries quickly

This is my fourth Roku box purchase. Each have been newer models. I like the new features and the earphones. It really does use up batteries quickly if you use the earphone feature often. Also, I wish it supported a 10/100/1000 ethernet connection. Not everyone wants to use wireless.

I love the head phones in the remote idea, its really handy, I love all the free TV and Games, best way to use a TV ever, well worth the money, I all so have a ROKU 2, I love it!
