I bought one of these a couple of months ago and hooked it up to our main TV. When my wife saw all that it would do she had me order another for the bedroom TV.

For a few years now I've used a Sony PS3, laptop and other methods of streaming to my television. Recently I picked up the Roku3 and was just blown away at how much I could do with it. I've even beta tested some units for major corporations and this has done just about everything I could ask out of it. Fully meets my expectations.

Been using ROKU 3 since Aug 2013. Really like it. The unit died on me about 2 months of use but the store where I bought it replaced it no questions asked.

Dreaming of Streaming

I bought this because we were ditching our kids Wii, and wanted something to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime. It works perfectly, and there are loads of other channels to choose from - some are channels you need to subscribe to. The quality of the channels and the streaming connection are great.

Easy to Use!

I have own a Roku 3 for 6 months, great features, easy to use and easy to hook-up. Streaming movies have always worked with no delays or no freezing screens.

Credit card for setup. Can't stream DLNA.

It is good for what it does. It has a fast processor and menus are smooth. But I bought the Roku 3 to setup for a family member at their cottage, as a present for letting us stay there. I figured I'd get Netflix going with my account, but then tell them they would need to use their own account. Lo and behold you need to setup a Roku acccount to do anything, and they want your credit card. Reading on the internet,you can call in to ask about avoiding the credit card,but really that was ridiculous.
And to top it off,the Roku 3 can't stream your MKV collection even within your home network. So it's not one box that does it all. It's just a Netflix player.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a Roku 2 and loved it. Decided to get my Roku 3 for the headphone jack so I can watch in bed without disturbing my wife. It works great.
