Excellent, except for a few minor issues

The roku is an excellent streamer; it is a dream to set up. However it has a few oddities with connectivity. Even though it retains 802.11n w/ excellent signal strength from my router it sees fit to buffer randomly. This is wholly random, it happens sometimes 2-3 times during a TV show then it goes days without.
Also the remote disconnects and you have to hard reset the device to get around the issue. If there were a fix for this, this device would be perfect.

Its been a journey since cutting the cable TV and my current destination has landed me at the Roku 3. Home Theatre PC was expensive and very need (24 hour tech support for wife/guests). AppleTV was great before we introduced Android and Amazon Prime to the household. GoogleTV had such great promise, but very poor execution and no HuluPLUS! Alas, the Roku married up to Simple.tv for Broadcast TV and Plex for local media. Still in the honeymoon phase, but so far its everything I need under one hood! And since its under one hood, the search aggregation across channels is fantastic! If there is room for improvement, it would be in a recommendation engine to compliment the amazing search capability.

Roku 3 is the way to go! Easy to set up and wonderful quality in HD. Great selection of entertainment. Everybody should try it now.

Have had it a couple months and I totally love it! Streams much faster than the previous DVD player I used. I use it primarily for Netflix. The Netflix menu is great via the Roku. My other TV is a SmartTV so I don't have a need for the Roku on that TV, but otherwise, I would have bought another one.
