Recent cord cutter. My GF was not a big fan of Netflix through the Xbox. Setup the Roku and now I am not public enemy #1 for canceling cable. We also set up a Plex Media Server that we access from the Roku and could not be happier!!

Love the Roku 3 as it has become one of my favorite gadgets and use it more than cable to wath movies, tv shows music and news.

The most important for us when we decided to buy was that Roku 3 is great to use with TVTEKA - that's Russian and Ukrainian live TV web service.
Roku 3 has a very convenient interface and even more convenient remote control which allows to browse through and select channels, fast forward, rewind, etc.
We already recommended Roku 3 to a number of our friends, some are definitely going to buy one.

It's been one month since I've installed the Roku 3 and have been very pleased. Since installing the Roku, I have decided I don't need cable and have also recently purchased a second Roku for the bedroom. Overall, the Roku provides a lot of content at a fraction of the cost of Cable, and I would highly recommend trying it.
An area of disappointment is the Roku's limited integration with the channels. The Roku provides access to channels, but delegates the responsibility of managing watch lists and searching to each channel. A more user-friendly design would be to have a single watch list managed by the Roku device that tracked shows across all channels. This would eliminate the need to browse your watch list for each channel when looking for something to watch. Another example is the search, which only search a handful of channels. Hopefully, future software update improve this, but as it is currently, the Roku doesn't do much more than provide access to channels, so it feels like kind of a "dumb device" compared to what it could be.
Roku provides access to a lot of channels, the big ones being Netflix, Hulu, and a few others. Unfortunately, the content on these channels can be lacking. There are many shows you will not be able to find. Fortunately, this will only get better over time, but you might have trouble finding some shows.
Despite its faults, the Roku is still a much better experience than cable. It's easy to use, quick to navigate, and watching TV "on-demand" is much more fun than accepting what is on cable.

Very fast, excellent wifi reception, easy searches. There is not a better product out there. No youtube, but who cares? More variety than you can use. Compact. You hardly know it is there. Simple hookup, easy wifi connection. This is a perfect piece of engineering. Way to go Roku!!

The big selling point for me (and the reason a friend recommended it to me) was the availability of the Plex channel. Now I've moved my media server to a back room and just have the Roku by my TV - much quieter, and I can still watch Netflix / Hulu as well all in one central location. Very convenient and super easy to use.
