I bought a Roku 3 about a month ago and am very pleased with my purchase.
It is very easy to plug in and initiate. The owners guide accompanying the Roku makes it all very simple and easy. The remote is very functional without any unnecessary features, easy to use, fits nicely in your hand and with the ear plugs attached, the TV sound is automatically turned off. Although many of the movie sites require a subscription, there are also many free movies of every genre. I highly recommend the Roku for many hours of viewing pleasure.

What a great player, have a WD smp and it's not a patch on the Roku 3, will be recommending this player to all my family.

Simple, easy to use

I have owned previous version of the Roku, but the Roku 3 is best so far.  It is a much smoother experience to watch Netflix, WatchESPN, Disney Channel and Hulu Plus.  It is the best value on the market for streaming video.  The new remote with headphones is the best feature by far.  The headphones worked for a while, but then they began disconnecting from the Roku.  I was pleased that Roku support sent me new remote, but this problem still persists if I use the headphones for more than an hour.

Stopped working after 3 weeks

I haven't actually used the Roku recently, as it stopped working after 3 weeks.  I tried plugging it directly into my WiFi router, and still nothing.  I am super frustrated with it, but haven't had a ton of time to work with tech support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product

I got this product about 2 months ago for my birthday. With my busy schedule, I'm often out of town so my husband decided it would be great for me to watch my favorite shows while in a hotel. I haven't used it on the road yet but I set it up to my home TV and I love it. Works great. So far I've watched a ton of Amazon prime free movies and TV shows. I'll break down and get e Netflix membership next.

I purchased my Roku because I dropped all my premium cable channels and wanted to choose what I watch, I am so pleased I am getting my father one for Christmas. I have never had a problem and it is very user friendly.

I tried two Chromecasts before the Roku3 and could not get either of them to work after hours on the phone with tech support.  Plugged the Roku3 in and in minutes I was up and running.  Works great on WiFi and on network cable.  I really like the fact I don't have to have a computer or tablet to run it like I would have had to do with the Google product.
