great, inexpensive replacement for PS3 or XBOX360. Netflix and USB media actually plays better....loading screens are faster. Remote is easier to use.

Processor is so much faster in Roku 3. Very easy to operate. Able to watch my Spiriticlips. Not all systems will accommodate them. Got rid of my Direct TV and now I watch what I want, and much more affordable!

Best streaming device I have ever used!

This is simply the best streaming device I have ever used! It is clean simple to browse through all of the channels and services, and the integrated search feature that searches across all of the services to show you all options for finding your desired content is a killer feature. Performance and playback is excellent quality. This little device is easier to use and has better performance than my far more expensive Playstation 3. I cannot recommend the Roku enough!
The only significant hole is lack of Apple/iTunes integration, but it is obviously to be expected that Apple would not let the Apple TV's best competition have this feature.
The only two things I can think of to make this massively better would be to allow desktop mirroring from any computer, and more intelligence in the search feature to make it a little easier to search for things you like/recommendations from the high level Roku screen and not from within each app. These are just wish list features, BTW. The device as it stands is a tremendous value.

Lots of channels-Easy set-up, with one caveat

I bought one and was so happy I bought another. That's when the trouble started. It seems the Roku 3, as opposed to the V1 and V2, is more susceptible to handshaking problems with certain TV brands. It shows on my Vizio as an unauthorized to view channel purple screen. The only thing that re-sets it is to power the Roku off and on. Then on a later viewing, it will happen again. And again, And again. There is no fix, so it's a bit of Russian Roulette. The other TV works fine with the Roku 3. Go figure. On the positive side, it loads, if a bit slowly, through a not-so-fast wireless connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I own the Roku 3 for about 3 weeks. It is great for catching up on missed programs. It is easy to set up and use.
