Fast, great variety

I purchased this 6 weeks ago to replace a perpetually buggy LG Blu-ray streamer. Pro: The interface is typically very fast although some apps bog down, great content variety, no need to point the remote at the ROKU - very convenient, and I love the wireless audio via the remote. Cons: When browsing for apps, Free should be clearly differentiated from Free Trial and the correct verbiage should be stated up front.

Does everything I want it for

I needed some way to access more than just Netflix. The Roku 3 gave me stuff I didn't know I needed. I love the headphone jack on the remote. I am sure I will continue to find new ways to use this box.

Nice little Box, but

Had to purchase this device because my 2 older Roku's would not support my Amazon Cloud Player. I must say it clearly outperformed the other 2 I had. Way faster, and I loved the Instant replay button on the remote. But, after only 9 months the remote control failed, had to switch to my older remote which does not have the replay button. Unfortunately, these devices are only warranteed for 3 months, I am not a happy camper.

I've had my roku xs for over 18mos now. I love it. The only time I need cistomer service was when I gave my second one to a neighbor. I couldn't remember how to set up. They called roku, and within a few minutes, had them registered. Very happy with roku and their customer service.

Roku and Netflix

Roku and Netflix are a great combination for watching movies and TV programs as long as you do not mind waiting for Netflix to get them. Now I just need to figure out how to get the Champions League, the English Premier League and Ligue1.

I was paying over $100 per month to Comcast. I bought the Roku 3 for the price of one month of Comcast. I was able to bag Comcast and commercials. Why was I paying for commercials. The one that got me the most was Comcast trying to sell me on the idea of advertising on Comcast. Duh
