Not perfect, but great

Numerous channels and shows to choose from. I don't see how I will ever have time to enjoy them all - perhaps when I retire..... The connection is always good, but the picture quality on Netflix doesn't seem as crisp as on our other device playing on the same TV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fast processor, great compatibility, upgraded TV

The Roku 3 is a sleek looking, easy to install, versatile upgrade to any HDTV. It's fast processor allows great streaming capability of DVD quality video/audio files through the must-have PLEX media application. If you have a fast enough internet connection you may be able to stream 1080P video files also. I was leary of my purchase at first being that most of the free apps are not very useful but upon my further exploring into the PLEX app, I have found the ROKU 3 to be invaluable!

Overall Great Product

Everything it great with this product, other than when it loses sync with the tv. It is pain to try and fix the issue, usually making me unplug the hdmi cable reset the player, etc. This is something I feel Roku should be able to fix. Other than that we love it.

Good Features: I like the smartphone app

Nice little device, stays hidden behind my A/V receiver. Good search that finds shows on all apps, hulu, netflix etc. It would be nice if someone came out with a product that can show live sports from around the country/world.

Roku works exactly as advertised. i would highly recommend Roku to anyone who doesn't see the value in regular cable/satellite option(so many channels offered on comcast with nothing to watch on them). Roku gives you what you need on the screen when you need it for less money.. I have Roku 3, and its nice package. i have no complaints about it.
There is one exception, if you get Roku 3 make sure you have up to date television with HDMI(its the only option on Roku 3)

I had helped my uncle set one up for his household to making streaming movies online easier for him and his family. It was so easy to do that I went ahead and tried it out for myself. So far I love it. My only complaint is with a particular channel. I have satellite tv and for whatever reason it will not allow me to view content from that channel even though I have all the channel pertaining to that network. I would like to watch some of the shows that failed to record that should be on demand. If roku were able to fix that little problem and negotiate a deal my television provider it would be that perfect little device in my entertainment system.

Great at what it does, not very flexible

Roku 3 is great at what it does, very reliable, easy to use, has many channels. That being said, number of channels in Canada is limited comparing to what is available in US. I miss flexibility, for example, not having web browser. The whole trend in many of the devices is to make them easy to use, "for dummies" style, not having an "expert" mode and be able to have more if you are ready for more then klicking the icons only.
