I can't think of one negative,although wish it could be on my home network, somehow, so would need only one, for all five TV's.

I bought two others Netgear and ? The earphone jack is very good. Setup is simple. Didn't like the fact of giving my credit card to activate Roku

Great device but lacks in one area

I love it, really do. My family loves it also. starts up quick an has options the others don't.
Just to get it out of the way, there are some CONS I have with the R3:
It needs(needed) shortcut buttons like the others have. But, I know why they did this - to accommodate the gaming controls. Anyhow that is my only complaint.

As expected probably, I wish there was more live content available to those that DO NOT subscribe to a full service provide - even an a la cart type setup would be nice. More Disney content somehow would also be nice but I know it is a mountain of a challenge for the Roku content department to add valued shows/channels like that. I hope time will improve this a little. Don't get me wrong, there are PLENTY of channels but some are a little Phu Phu :) and a bit of a waste of time.
Like I said though, I expect the content to yet better over the years as Roku becomes more popular and a common household name.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Roku is a great addition to any home theater system. The only complaint I have, is I wish the remote had a built in keyboard.

Good features, wireless is faulty

We switched from cable TV to the roku about 2 months ago. The first month was difficult because we were using wireless connection, so the streaming was extremely slow and the connection would drop every hour to 2 hours. We live in an apartment and apparently it is common for the roku to drop wireless connections when there are multiple wireless signals. We ended up hard-wiring the roku to our router and it has worked perfectly since. We love the amount of channels that are offered and have not really missed having cable. If you are in an apartment or townhouse, be prepared to have to either hard-wire your internet or have faulty connections, but other than that, it's been great.

We watch so many good movies with our Roku that regular television is almost a thing of the past.
With a Netflix addition at a very reasonable cost our evenings are a joy to watch old and new movies and TV shows at our will.

Constantly Loses Internet Connection

I was really excited to purchase this but I've barely been able to use it.
It's lost the internet connection and given me error codes constantly and I don't have time to fix it every day.

I really love to be able to watch the movies when I want to watch them and what I want to watch. rather than watch what cable feels I should watch. Love it
