Roku 3: It simply works!

We've been using the Roku 3 for about 2 months. When we got it, to test it, I connected it to our wired network....it just worked!. After a week or so, I decided to try it on the wireless network. I figured it would take a lot of tinkering so I did it when I had lots of time to dedicate to the task. I removed it from the wired network & turned it on. Much to my surprise, it just worked!!
Since then, it has continued to work. The only problem we've had was once when I had to restart the wireless access point as well as the Roku. Since then, no issues.
Basically, the Roku 3 is as simple to operate as a toaster and as reliable as a light bulb!! We are happy users!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We received this as a birthday gift and all I can say it is the best gift EVER! We have a netflix subscription and with all the stations available, we hardly watch cable tv anymore. Our daughter LOVES that she can watch PBS whenever she wants. Thanks so much.

easy to use

Roku 3 streams much better quality than my older Sony device. Of course, the Sony device is years older. My only disappointment was the "stand" purchased with it. It required screwdriver and screws to mount. I am not using it for that reason.
However, I am delighted with the Roku 3 and would buy it again.

Most of what I am looking for

I do not like most of the junk that is served on TV and paying for cable for little that I cannot get by internet is something I refuse to do. I get most of what I want in the non pay items. I just wish there were some good nature channels in the non pay areas.

I have had the Roku 3 for about a month now. I also have the Roku 1. The 3 is much fasters and has more capabilities than the 1. Many more channels are available for the 3. If I had to buy two again they would both be the 3 model in fact I may just sell the Roku 1 on Craigslist and buy another 3 it is that much better of a unit and well worth the 99 bucks.

I like the PIN number feature. Made me feel more secure in choosing channels. Easy to use screen features too. Great product. I have Roku 2 as a gift, my next purchase will be Roku 3. Like all the free channels.
