With all the new gadgets coming out, it was hard for me to decide which item to buy. After looking for reasonable price and good performance, I went with the Roku 3. Is it perfect? Of course not, and neither are other items that claim to do what the Roku does, but it sure have room to get closer to perfection. In the short time ai had my Roku 3 it hasn't fail me not even once, the picture quality is as best as it could be, it all depend on your TV of course. The channels that it have are ok, and here where there is space to improve, a lot of channels in the Roku are either not allow or simply not working for whatever reason. But then again, you have the choice to remove the channel if it doesn't work. There is one thing that I would like to see in the Roku is a native mirroring feature. It should would be awesome to mirror your PC, your smartphone, your tablet to Roku, it's all it needs. Looking forward to new feature in Roku.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls

I'd heard about the Roku but never had the access speed. Once I bought the box I lost 3 days going through all the channels. I'm still winnowing but there's just so much to watch. Cable is just not available here and satellite is way more than Netflix. I miss ESPN but there is plenty to see for free. Missing microSD card should be better informed to buyers.

The Roku 3 is the first Roku I have owned, and I love how easy and convenient all the channels are to access. The remote is simple and very responsive, and I like that it does not use IR so I can have the box anywhere in the room. Youtube would be nice to have, and I wish the majority of channels wouldn't end up charging monthly fees to use. It's such a letdown when I want to experience a channel that seems interesting, only to find out I'll need to pay $10 a month to use it. At least post that it's a paid channel up front so I don't waste my time with these. The free channels, however, are great, and I get plenty of use out of Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Operation, Easy Menus, Good Free channels
Cons: No youtube, Not enough free channels

Good device, needs improvements

The setup was simple but the channel list is really disappointing. I know Roku has a lot more channels than other streaming devices. In reality though, the channels that are actually usable are very limited. There isn't even a Youtube channel. I end up using this only for Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant.
Pros: Fast Setup, Small
Cons: Can't Control Volume, Can't Stream From Macpc, No youtube, Channels Not Great
