Roku works great for Netflix and other available channels. Typing in searches is somewhat tedious. I really wish it had a web browser so that you could access websites through the device. Some of the "free" channels only show previews of what you can watch if you pay for the "premium" version of that channel. Overall, it's a great product and I would highly recommend it for Netflix users.
Pros: Fast Setup, Easy Wifi Connection, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Ipad Remote App

Needs streaming News chanels

I have found very few reliable streaming news channels. I would like (at least) - cnn,cnbc, msnbc, fox, bloomberg The few feeds that exist are mostly private chanels, or europeamn versions, and all are unreliable/ low rez

Nice Looking... lacks channels

The product looks great and is easy to setup. The main reason I purchased the product was for a BBC iPlayer platform which connects to my TV. I have Apple TV which is excellent, and can stream BBC content from my iPad or Mac but its not native. However I am disappointed with the lack of channels, but this could improve with time. The main issue which I'm sure will be resolved is the Wi-Fi which keeps disconnecting. To update the machine on the first instance i needed to connect a ethernet cable to achieve anything. Now when in use the Wi-Fi is working ok, but as soon as its not used for a while it needs to be reconnected. I'm sure things will improve.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

Roku 3 only supports Dolby Digital Plus

The Roku 3 HDMI only supports stereo or Dolby Digital Plus. It will not output 5.1 to a receiver that doesn't have Dolby Digital Plus.

My first Roku replacing a Boxee

No browser like Boxee No LAN file access like Boxee No Apps like Boxee So, I have Boxee and Roku now, need them both. Roku way better for Netflix/HuluPlus Boxee better for...well everything else. Just depends on why you want it, bottom line.
