I must rave about how easy this is to use and how well thought out the controls are. For me, at least, this product is very intuitive to use. It has a real feel of quality to it. I have not used the remote headphone jack yet but that is quite innovative. I did use the tech support service a few days after setting it up but kind of figured out the problem as I was explaining it (an incorrect audio setting). They seemed quite responsive, though. My only knock is that the video quality is sometimes only so-so. At other times it is pretty good, though, so I don't believe it is an equipment shortcoming. I use a hard-wired setup, so I don't think it is the network, either. More likely the video provider. Overall, I strongly recommend this player.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls

I'm glad I purchased this. I was able to get rid of cable (and my 200$ per month bill) and switch to just using Netflix, Hulu, and Dramafever for watching what I like to. My one and only complaint is that while watching downloaded videos through USB, the Roku will freeze and restart a couple of times. But I don't know if it is the Roku, the video, or the USB storage device that's causing it.
This is the best thing since slice bread. Fast set up , easy to use, and just down right cool. And the roku app for the smartphones is cool too its nothing like sitting two rooms away and controlling there tvs. They don't want to get up and clean just pop up the app and off is goes. Little feet start moving then. I have the roku 2 and the roku 3 its nice that my oldest daughter can put the earphones on and watch without disturbing others. And my youngest that is 4 can go to netfix and other educational apps and watch different things on her own with out anyones help. Keeps her happy when she does get to watch tv. ( It gets taken away very often ) But I cant find any complaints about it we have had no problem at all. And Im pretty sure we will be getting another shorty for the wife. She has loved the ones they have. In my opinion I would jump on this one its the best.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Just plan cool, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: That I Dont Have Three

Pros: 1) Provides Sky News Live and Sky News Top Stories. (Similar to CNN & CNN Headline News, but shorter and without commercials.) 2) Many free channels, streams and movies. 3) Very small 4) Roku 3 has standard ethernet port network, instead of only wireless network. 5) Software initialization and software menus extremely well engineered and work flawlessly, with back-out keys for all channels. 6) My main reason for purchasing, allows HD Amazon.com Prime streaming for providing Dolby/DTS (compressed) output for streams, instead of only ordinary mono/stereo output via Internet browser. 7) Rather than buying a whole computer for watching video or audio streams, simply use a Roku device instead!
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: None

I purchased two of these and cancelled my DirectTV. I was paying $104 per month. With the programming I have purchased for the Roku, I am paying $22 per month. This works very well for me because I don't watch a lot network tv. To purchase a current network tv show costs approximately 20 - 40 dollars per season on Amazon Prime.
Pros: Simple Controls, Works Well Everytime, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Fast Setup
Cons: No Good Live News Coverag

After ditching cable I was looking for a box to watch want we want that was affordable, easy to use, and completely hassle free. Something that wouldn't make us wish we had the cable box again. The Roku provides this. The price can't be beat and its footprint is incredibly small, you can fit it anywhere. The channels are easy to install and the interface is fast and simple, a must for something you use every day when you want to unwind. We mainly use it for Plex, Netflix, and Amazon Video. Other streamers don't offer all three of these so that is a big reason for getting the Roku. Audio and video quality is awesome, 5.1 surround works great which is a necessity. I like that the video player interface and controls are consistent across services, so no matter what I'm in I know the ff/rew behavior will be pretty much the same. The Wii-like remote that detects hand movements is very impressive and a neat little addition if you want to play some games. I also love that it doesn't need turned on and off - it's one less button to press every time we sit down. It seems they've thought of everything. The product is overall just really fast, reliable, and polished. Sometimes loading bars for videos will get stuck and you have to leave the video and try again, but I believe this is Netflix's fault and not the Roku's. Just have a strong wireless or wired connection and you should be fine. The remote doesn't do any IR so unfortunately the volume buttons on the side can't be used to control my receiver, I wish it could. I do have to say I'm unhappy hearing about the M-GO partnership. I think all services should be treated equally and I don't want to see one service in particular promoted in the UI or on the remote. Roku, please do not continue even further down this path in the future. Overall highly recommend this for power and casual users alike.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Fast Setup

Look, if you're a cable-cutter or just looking to centralize all of your entertainment options, then the Roku3 is a key piece of the puzzle. I've only had mine a couple of weeks, but based on the capabilities and choices Roku3 provides, I fired my cable company yesterday. It's saving me $151.00 per moonth. Plus, I dont have to buy a bunch of junk channels that I dont want and will never watch. This thing is brilliant! I'm buying a sceond one for the bedroom tomorrow.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
