Using the ROKU 3 with my home NAS and Plex media server. Works like a champ. Above all, it is so simple it meets the "wife approval factor", even my seven year old child uses it with no problems. I would have given a five star but the lack of more video format support gives it a four star.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Video format support

No U Tube

I watch Korean dramas. We lost KBS on dish network. This system has better sound and video than Dish. Some dramas are not on HuLu but are on U tube. I bought this ruku 3 and then 3ea 50 dollar netgear sets as one of the dramas we are following is only on u tube (as far as I can tell.) We use Verizon dsl

Exceeds Apple TV

The Roku 3 is hands-down the best streaming device money can buy. It has thousands of more channels than Apple TV, which really only added channels no one wants to watch. The addition of Amazon Prime (which works in many overseas countries and netflix does not) makes the Roku 3 the clear winner in the streaming market. The headphone jack is great in a college dorm setting. Overall, all the pro's of the product greatly outweigh the cons. Roku is simply the best device on the market right now as roku can do everything the competition can do and then thousands of more functions to top it off with. I used Apple TV for 2 years and have used Roku 3 for the past month and there is no doubt in my mind that Roku is the superior product in every way.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Headphone Jack, More Channels Vs Apple Tv
Cons: Requires credit card info, Requires Computer, Longer Setup

I cut back on my cable bill due to loss of income, all I kept is internet so this IS my TV. Even if I didn't buy Netflix there is so much free content I always find something to watch. I have already recommended it to several friends and one thanked me after a few months.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Automatic, Attractive Design
Cons: Plays Fewer Movie Formats

Love the overall ease of setup & use. The channels are only limited by your budget & time. My only complaint is that HBO Go is NOT supported (as confirmed by a Roku Tech via online chat) by Comcast and/or Direct TV. REALLY????!!!!!
