dongle does NOT fit my samsung series 9 laptop!

i am in the process of returning it.
the male and female side clearly does not match up.
i used the recommended accessories parts link on samsung's website for this part because i was concerned that i may pick up the wrong one from an authorized dealer.
my laptop is series 9 NP900X3A.
dongle AA-AE2N12B/US.
i offered to send pictures of the differences but the operator says she has no operational procedure to do that.
