The slide bolt and key pad have to be installed upside down or the torque blade and turnpiece shaft to align. The two pieces are 180 degrees out of palhase. One might be able to install only the inside panel upside down, but the door knob generally prevents that. Anyway this product takes hours to install and will not install properly. I hope I just got a badly manufactured one. Garbage.

We are here to help! Please see Page 2, Section 4 of the installation guide, linked below, illustrates how to rotate the D-shape spindle. This lock is trash

I've had these locks on business and personal properties for years. I will be replacing them all with a different brand. Tonight was the 3rd night one of my deadbolt 909 locks was froze with no key available I took a drill and a half inch drill bit to the lock and in less then 10 seconds I was in. This is not acceptable for a lock product.

i purchased this several years ago, the buttons are wearing out so i called and asked if i could get a push button replacement and was told no they dont make them. the lock works fine so i was basically told Id have to throw it out and buy a new one. DONT NOT BUY THIS ITEM FOR THAT REASON. it should have replacement parts

Unless you are a locksmith do not buy this product, the programming instructions do not work and instructions provided are very limited on trouble shooting. I've been working on installing this lock and trying to program the codes for 6 hours and cannot find help on the kwikset website

Works well; high noise when moter runs

I've been using this lock for over a year. It works great. It is wonderful to never worry about keys, or being locked out. If a kid is sleeping, I can leave the car on, while I prep his bed. It's just really high wine when the motor is moving the deadbolt.

The worst!

This product does not work. It is almost impossible to get hold of someone to help with the installation. When I finally got hold of someone, they told me the product was faulty and they would send me a new one. The sent 3 new ones and none of them worked. Even a professional locksmith was unable to install it.
