I am to lazy to take a picture of mine. I have been quite pleased with the results. It's not a experience in the price range for what you get. I like it someone comes over can hit the lock box in the center and not give out a code. You can have a another number store when they are in a few days give an code and tell them it expires so no lay overs hahaha Take it out when they leave and I CAN NOT LOCK MYSELF OUT LOOKING FOR KEYS!!!

Don't become to reliant on this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase this product in October and we've had a few issues with it here and there, but this last one really has me considering going back to a regular lock with a key.
My fiancé and I came home from an evening out and tried to unlock the door. We found the keypad lit, which was odd, but what's worse is that is was unresponsive. We sat outside for an hour to let it reset, and nothing changed. We ended up jumping our 6' privacy fence, and crawling in a window to access our home. We relied on the lock so much that neither of us realized that we weren't carrying our house key.
We've also replaced the batteries twice since we bought it 5 months ago. When it operates properly, it is very handy. But when it goes out, it can cause an issue like the one we experienced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Smartcode Deadbolt is a great lock to keep my smart dog from opening my door. I have levers on my door and my dog would jump on the door and on the way down his paw would push the lever down, open the door and run out in the backyard when my Gardner or Poolman shows up. With the Smartcode I can go out to speak to anyone with out having to take a key and not worrying if my dog will be charging out side.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old deadbolt became difficult to lock from inside. I called Kwikset and they had me supply photos of inside and outside as the unit I had is out of production. A few weeks later I received a new unit at no cost and it works perfectly.

I suggest always using the Mastercode feature so tenants can't change your set codes. Change batteries yearly. The locks are easy to install and use and are very reliable.

I've had this lock four year. The first 2 years I had no issues. Then the battery started draining fast anf sometimes the keypad would be non-responsive. Now the keypad is completely unresponsive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the SmartCode 910, and we have a solution to get the lock in working order. Fresh alkaline batteries should last 6 months, and if your battery life is less than this, please check your door alignment and verify the long mounting bolts are not too tight on the mounting plate. Also, ensure that your door jamb hole is at least 1 inch deep to prevent jamming. For the keypad, we recommend performing the factory reset on the lock and the manual door handing process, described in the installation guide linked below.
