Replaced Twice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock is not water tight or appropriate for outdoor use... which sort of defeats the whole purpose. I've had to replace mine twice (once was a free replacement from the manufacturer) because it got wet and jammed. I like the idea of this lock (it fits perfectly and, in theory, serves a purpose), but I wouldn't recommend it for a door/gate exposed to the elements.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While the exteriors can weather rain, sleet, and snow, the interiors, and the sensitive electronics inside, prefer a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a bit of trauma adding the lock to the door, we have found over the last year that the lock works very well. We love not needing to take keys when going out walking and one fewer keys is wonderful. We recommend this lock.

Works Every Time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've installed this lock on my last three homes because it's such a great product. The finish matches any hardware already on the door. I was impressed with installation and how easy it was. Also, the first time I bought the lock,I needed a little help with programming. Kwikset has a crew of helpful people to guide you through any issue over the phone. I'll always have a Keikset lock on my house, wherever we end up.

Great Lock. Has Electronic issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lock to use on my main door. Used it every day and it was wonderful. Then all of a sudden the batteries started dying after a month or so. Now even brand new batteries don't work that well. Wish it

I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO KEYED ENTRY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't use a key to enter my house or to drive my car and I love it! No keys to lose. Don't need a purse to carry the keys. Freedom. I'll never go back to keyed entry. This is my second one. Batteries lasted for years.

This is such a great way to lock/unlock doors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually like the keypad feature better on this SMARTCODE 909 than the (more expensive) finger-swipe bio fingerprint lock that it replaced. Not having to carry keys is a convenience I enjoy with a lock. I installed the lock in July 2016 and as of this writing Feb 2017, I replaced the batteries only once, and this lock works overtime with our family in and out all day. And the keypad is as reliable as day one- never a problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!
