Easy to install

No Keys to Carry!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electronic deadbolt was installed about 8 months ago, so I’ve had lots of time to appreciate it. In addition to being an attractive feature on my door, this lock is super convenient. I made up my own code to share with my family, so no one needs a key to lock or unlock the door. If someone comes in to take care of the dog, I make a separate, temporary code for that person. Another feature I appreciate is the small blinking light on the inside so I can see at a glance if it is unlocked (green) or locked (red).

I don't have to carry my keys all the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this, mainly because I hate carrying my keys all the time when I'm around the house. Easy to install. This one was finicky about programming and linking with my Vivint home security system, but after it finally got sorted out, it works great.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live on the second floor of our house over the garage and I can unlock the door for friends or repairmen when they ring the doorbell. I have also given my family members their own unique code so they can open the door when they arrive and then lock it behind them when they are leaving so I don't have to go downstairs to lock the door behind them. I absolutely love this lock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was a replacement for similar deadbolt that did not have the Z-wave. The product would not program correctly. Support person could not get it to work either. Went back to replace unit and same issue with the second unit. After much trial the support person have one part removed while programing and then reinstalled. After that the programming held. This issue apparently affects some, not all units, and not all support are aware of the issue and its resolution. Made needless trip to exchange the unit. Quality issues such as this costs money and errodes customer confidence in the product.

I had trouble finding reviews for people who had this for more than a few weeks. I have had this installed (self) on my front door for more than a year and it is WONDERFUL. The Energizer/Duracell batteries I use have yet to run out, still going! The codes are SO EASY to set and reset. This is incredibly convenient and user-friendly. I simply replaced my old deadbolt with this one. To add to my positive thoughts -- I lost the actual keys to it and felt panicked that I might one day need them and Kwikset replaced them no problem! Best purchase.
