I purchased last week, Just make sure after it is installed the deadbolt can actuate freely into the door jam strike plate and you will have no problems.

A must for those with children

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kwikset--smart code electronic deadbolt solved the problem of our daughter being locked out of the house because of no key. She could enter the garage with the automatic garage door opener but not the door to the house. No more lockouts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially bought two fingerprint reader deadbolts. They didn't work satisfactorily. I replaced them with two of the SmartCode units 4 or 5 years ago and have not had a bid of trouble with them. The battery life is surprisingly good. They work in extreme cold temperature. The finish inside and out has held up extremely well. Easy to use even when I don't leave the porch light on and it's dark. My family never has to carry a key or worry about losing one. It's also handy to let in relatives if we aren't home. They were a really good buy.

Love this lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving this deadbolt. No more worrying when a family member loses a key. It was easy to install. You can use keys if the battery fails and like most kwikset lock sets, it's easy to rekey all door lock to match. It looks great. I plan to install this lock on a couple of more doors.

Great lock for a good price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock was installed 2 years ago. No problems except for the batteries in extreme cold, -20F. We now use lithium batteries and they last over a year. The tapered bolt is a great feature for doors that shift with seasonal building movements. Would prefer 10 digits for increased security on 4 digit codes so we use 6 digit codes. A little harder for kids to remember. Paired with our home control system quickly and easily. I would buy another one.

Added one to my outdoor shed kids never leave the doors unlocked again !
