Great features, easy to change key & priced right

We purchased 6 Kwikset - Smartcode 909 deadbolts for our two rental properties. This provided an easy way to provide secure entry for each guest. We have been very pleased with the results. Our guests enjoy the keypad for its easy entry for each guest. We the owners and property managers enjoy the ease of changing codes whenever we want. We look forward to expanding to other rental properties in the future.

Have had a few attempted break ins but this deadbolt is tough. Works great also not needing a key and having a friend come let the dogs out. Just need to replace the door handle soon with a Kwikset

This is my second one and I absolutely love them they work every single time without fail backlit keys are awesome for nighttime and its super handy for the kids you just need to punch in the code to get in, no longer fumbling for keys or losing them

Purchased this lockset some time ago, because of the convenience. No fumbling with keys, just enter the code and its open.

Works well... except for...

Unfortunately, this thing eats a lot of batteries. They only last a few months. Works well otherwise.
Box said "Home Connect ready" but doesn't seem to be any way to add Home Connect to this device.

So sorry for the confusion about Home Connect. We checked with our product team, there is not an option to purchase a home connect module at this time. If you'd like a Home Connect please consider our 910 or 914 deadbolts in both Zigbee and Zwave formats.

Secure and smart

Six weeks ago I purchased this lock and installed it at my elderly mother's house. Install was easy and rekeying to match her other Kwikset locks was a breeze. One word of advice; be sure to adjust and align the bolt and striker plates perfectly. There sould be no drag or hanging of the bolt. If it slides in and out easily without you pulling on the door tighter, then it will work flawlessly and will have the longest battery life. I am extremely pleased with this lock set.

I bought this thinking it looked like a neat gadget to have.... I am totally impressed with the quality and workmanship this lock provides. I am constantly telling my husband it has been one of the smartest buys I have ever made. Installation did not take very long and I love the fact that I can change the code as often as I like!
