Works well however it can be glitchy with the home connect service. Changing your code can be difficult and sometimes it will forget my code randomly. Also it is pretty easy for somebody walking inside with you to watch you enter your code

Perfect for roomate situation

I bought this for my home, About a year later I had to rent out a room in the house. When the roommate left unexpectedly and with some of my things I was able to instantly change the key and code. She was seen the next day trying to get in...

Easy and secure

Used this for two years. Works in all weather, even with gloves. Kids and Mom feel secure. Changed the batteries and didn't lose the codes.

We bought two of these. Easy to install and replace existing deadbolt. The lock works very well! The SmartKey function allowed me to rekey the lock to my existing key easyly.

The unit is extremely easy to install and having a Kwikset key it was very easy to key the new lock following the instructions. Programming is a snap. Highly recommended.

Durable and very well made

I've had this deadbolt on my front door for almost 3 years now. It even stood up to the front door being kicked in by a burglar and was able to reinstall it on the new door. Uses 4 AA batteries that last several months before needing to be changed. Touchpad will alert you when batteries are getting low. Can program up to different codes. Has stood up to the outdoor elements and still looks brand new. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Bought this particular model a month or so ago. I had the same model but in a different color however, I had to install it upside down to make it work. I'm not sure why but that was the way it was set up, I guess, to operate the opposite direction as to my door. Anyway, I love the convenience of these looks. No more messing with keys or worrying about loosing them. All you have to do is remember your code, which is easy to set. The first lock will be installed on my back door when I get it done, it works the opposite direction to the front door. I don't think there is any particular direction associated with these locks but the first one seemed to have a specific direction and will work for this door.
