easy to install and use, but some shortcomings

For the most part I like this lock. It's sturdy, reliable and user friendly. Installation was fast and fairly painless.
The only things I gripe about occasionally are that it's surprisingly noisy, the batteries require change out way more frequently than I expected, and I wish the back cover was metal instead of plastic (makes it feel cheap.) All in all, minor complaints Compared to the functionality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Eats batteries

I have six of these. They generally work OK but a couple of them eat batteries like they are candy for a kid. They will seem to powerfully throw the bolt and then will beep and flash and refuse to work until they get fresh batteries. The "rejected" batteries test good and will work fine for weeks in other identical locks. As a hail mary, I just bought a new one to replace the worst offender and see if I can get decent battery life out of it, I have a few that seem to slowly and laboriously throw the bolt and they seem to run forever on a set of batteries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Deadbolt

I installed this deadbolt about a year ago and could not be more satisfied. It was easy to install and set up with codes and to my key. The back light makes it easy to use at night.

Great Addition to my Home

I am so happy I purchased for my door. Kids don't have to worry about losing keys or breaking the key in the lock. Leaving the house is so easy, one push and my door is locked. A friend purchased one after she saw how easy it is to use.

Great Lock

I needed to complete keyless entry system for my house. I live alone and this is very important. This lock works flawlessly and a great investment if you live alone or have children.

I've had this product for years. Love the convenience of not having to search for keys. Kids can easily remember codes and let themselves in and out. I use this on the door between kitchen and garage. Between it and my outside garage door keypad-operated opener, the kids have easy access, and I'm protected!

Simple

I've got this type of lock on all my exterior doors. I absolutely love them. It is simple to program with a 4, 5, or 6 digit number. I can give the code of the day to my housekeeper and never have to worry about a key getting into the wrong hands. We are never locked out of the house. I even use one of the locks on my detached garage. I can put things out there I don't want my kids to see or get into (ie Christmas presents).
