I was pleasantly surprised

I ordered this unit because I wanted a keyless entry but didn't want to rely on a non-mechanical touchpad nor key. It has worked great. I have replaced the batteries one-time likely 6-months in. But will buy again.

Easy Access

My daughter recommended this to me since I was always struggling with purse, packages and keys. Now, I can easily leave knowing with one push of a button my home is secure and a quick entry of my code lets me in regardless of how much I am carrying. Why didn't I do this long ago? I have recommended it to my friends. I have given both of my grown children their own codes so they can enter easily whenever they need to. I added the matching lever handle and my front door looks better than it ever has.

Have had two of these locks and I just could not imagine going back to a lock that requires a key. Necessary to check battery occasionally, but they last a long time. Just love it..

Simple and secure!

I've had this lock installed on my home for more than a year, having purchased it 01/05/2014. We just replaced the battery in March because we noticed the lock was getting slower. We got 15 months use from the original set. This is with daily use. Every morning we leave the house and press the lock button. When we get home in the afternoon, we punch in our code and enter the home. We haven't used the keys since the first day we installed it. In the time we've owned it we've changed the guest code 3 or 4 times. It is easy to do, and convenient, when you need to. We love it because we have friends or family come in from out of town, and if we aren't home when they get here, we give them the code and they are good to go. A friend of mine bought another lock that lets you program 18 codes or something crazy like that. He has to keep a spreadsheet to remember which code he gave to which person. That was too much work for me. One master code and one easy to change guest code is easy to manage and covers our needs. In summary, the SmartCode deadbolt is easy to use, easy to manage, reliable, and did I mention it looks great paired with the Austin SmartKey Venetian Bronze Residential Single-Lock Door Handleset? It sure does!

Overall I like this lock a great deal. I'm in a 3 story home and I could never be sure my daughter would lock the front door....with this, is does so automatically which is great and gives me a lot of peace of mind!!!

Fantastic Lock!

I bought this lock after moving into a new condo. I am a 70 year old woman and I am proud to say that I installed the lock myself! It was fairly easy and didn't take long. It looks and works great and I don't have to worry about locking myself out if the door slams on me. Plus, I don't have to carry the key with me on the many dog walks we take each day. It's a fantastic product!

Solves multiple problems!

I got this model when my first electronic lock finally died. Its such a good investment! With a child and multiple roommates, its much easier to have a code for everyone to remember. Nobody gets locked out anymore. The ability to have a separate code for service people when no one is around is also incredibly convenient!
This new model has a nice feature with the reprogramming key, as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
