EASE OF USE

This is the second unit we have had. The first one worked properly for several years requiring annual battery changes. Then it quit and we purchased the same model as a replacement.
We have the lock on the door between the garage and the utility room. We keep the door locked and use it many times a day. Just program an easy to remember number in to the unit's memory and punch it in and you are in. If the batteries go dead, you can use the provided key to gain entry. Batteries are easy to replace and last at least a year of heavy use.

I bought this lock 6 months ago and after installing it and using it i had to get another lock for the garage these products are so reliable and sleek looking good addition to my home remodel

I have the Zigbee and non-Zigbee versions of these. They both work well, and battery life is at least 6 months, which isn't bad. They have been reliable, but range of the Zigbee models is quite short. This isn't unusual for battery Zigbee devices as they usually need a line-powered Zigbee device nearby to reliably repeat the signal.
There are a few cons, however. First, you have to press a key for them to light up, and if you press the wrong first key at night, you need to start again. Second, this lock uses "Smartkey" technology which has some vulnerabilities which makes this lock less secure than it should be. Third. the instructions, especially the Zigbee instructions are very poor. Finally, if this lock could store more than 2 codes, that would be great.

I bought this to compliment my lever door handle Kwikset lock. It's perfect.
I'll be adding more as I replace locks around my home. I have three now and all work beautifully.

Excellent Electronic Lock

We have used this lock on our font door for over two years and it has worked flawlessly! No more worrying about having a key to fumble with in the dark or when your hands are full. Even when hauling several items, if you have a finger available, you'll have access to your locked home. We will never go back to a standard key lock.
