Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Ink Jet Printer

This printer makes very sharp looking prints. Nevertheless, I am getting a magenta and green shift when I print my totally desaturated IR images. The color shifts fade in about 2 days but there is still a hint of magenta and green left. Other than that and the way it guzzles ink, I am very satisfied with the printer and would recommend it to any serious photographer, on a budget, for limited custom printing. I would not recommend it for production work.

Printed my whole portfolio on it. The quality is great. However I really dont like the way it prints on epson paper. Try Moab Lasal.

The high price of ink

Great printer works well with in my operation and my style of photography. But the ink is why to exspensive. I would print more if it were more afordable.

I love this printer. The color matches with PhotoShop perfectly so I know exactly what I am getting. It is very, very fast printing photo quality. I was very surprised at the print quality - it is excellent.

Great Printer

I purchased my 1400 to replace my 2200 that finally died after many years of use and great images. The 1400 was a pleasant surprise and it has not let me down for the year that I have used it. No matter what size photo I print it is always great quality.

Waste of money

The printer heads clog too easy and once heads are clogged there is no way to unclog them and the printer is useless. This happened to me on 2 brand new printers, on 2 separate occassions. The printr is useless without printer heads and to replace printer heads it costs the same as a new printer.
The printer uses a lot of ink and the ink cartridges are too expensive.
