I've had my 1400 for a little better than a year now. I must say that there for awhile I was having issues with the printer. It would not read any of the blank onk cartridges i got from Espon. (of course it may have been the cartridgesm read on) Epson was FANTASTIC about it. They would send me replacements at no cost to me. I do porfessional photography and am quite pleased with the quality of prints this printer produces. It does seem to use a lot of ink so naturaly wish the cost of the ink were a bit less. But the old saying goes - "You get what you pay for" And I would much rather pay for quality than be cheap and lessen the quality of my work

I bought this printer because it will print 11 x 14 size and larger and the inks, though expensive, have a longer lifespan than the inks that I use for my Epson R320 printer. Not that I had any problem with the R320 in that regard. I plan to keep it as a spare. I was impressed with the Epson 1400 when I unpacked it. It was very easy to set up and I had it printing right away. I am pleased overall with the quality of this printer. It fits perfectly on a utility cart that I purchased that is 23.5" wide.

I've only had this printer for a week and I am amazed of the quality. For those of you that concerned about the ink usage I would suggest the ink tanks rather than individual ink cartridges.

This printer is faster than some others I have had. At the same time it prints outstanding color graphics and jpeg pictures. I do not think i will regret buying this 1400 epson printer. I still use an epson 1280 and it still works after 5 years. I like epson printers

I recently "retired" my StylusPro 5500 wide format printer and purchased the Stylus Photo 1400. This printer has FAR exceeded my expectations! I produce prints of my of my glass paintings in series of 30 each. For this price, I would never have believed the quality of prints and my clients are delighted!

Is slower then most people are wanting. But I had checked and read as much as possible prior to purchasing so I knew this draw back. At first I wanted it for the dvd print function but after printting a few photos was amazed to find how much more I can do with this unit and how great the photos were. I recommend this machine for anyone doing personal printing

This is a great printer and I'm very satisfied with it. I'm in a graphic design program in college and was tired of having to go to Kinko's to have my 11x17(or larger) images printed out. I went in search of a large format printer and stumbled across this one. I am so glad I did. One problem I've found though is that it prints dark when printing from Photoshop CS4, but jpegs are crisp and clean.
