I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set-up and use my new printer. The DVD/CDs that I printed look absolutely fantastic. I do photography work and print pictures along with text in newsletters and they too are fantastic. Love this printer, should have gotten it a long time ago.
I purchased this unit 6 months ago, I wanted to try it a while before writting a review. Here is what I think the PROS are: 1) does a fantastic job on the pictures I print, it's just as good if not better than the 960 did. 2) It prints pictures in half the time my old Epson photo stylus 960 did. 3) It uses a lot less ink than my old 960 stylus did. 4) there is less time and effort spent on setting up and printing out lables for CDs I only have one Con: It takes up a lot of real-estate
I bought this printer for my school portfolio work 4 years ago but have recently rediscovered it for my photography. I have a color managed workflow using a Color Munki and am getting stellar prints using Ultra Premium photo paper Luster.
As I become more seasoned in the art of printing, I will definitely be looking at some of the newer Epsons like the new Stylus R3000.
I have used my Epson 1400 for almost two years now without any trouble at all. It is great for printing layouts for my graphic design work and makes beautiful art prints as well. I create limited edition prints from my paintings that matches the quality of any giclee prints I have seen.
Great printer, prior to this I used the Epson 900 and then a 1280--- Now for better I switched to the 1400-- I do Dye-Sub and the printer is great-- Epson is a reliable produt and great for what we do
Easy to set up, get drivers and print in no time what so ever. Love this great machine. Able to print really large prints, photo shop came with it. If you like to print pictures of all sizes and shapes, color or black & white, I would highly recommend this machine.
So far, I love it! I actually installed it all by myself without a glitch, and I am technologically challenged. The instructions are very clear. The prints look great. Too early to tell how the ink holds out.
