In my household we have buy GE products through our marriage and now with our 5 children. GE microwave is reliable and no problems so far!

Had to replace our 18 year old Profile because the digital board went and it was as expensive to repair it as get a new one. Hindsight...
The former had an almost black door and the current has an almost clear one which allows the insides to show with door closed. The interior was larger too. Don't like that you have to spin a knob to set the time. Also it's in 15 second increments instead of 10. It works and does the job though. A recommendation would depend on what the other person was used to I'm a microwave. P.S. Your rating website has a lot of hesitation when typing in it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost identical to a GE convection-microwave oven we purchased 11 years ago. The old one had a handle for opening, the new one has a push button. We liked the handle better. We bought this one because it has the same features as the old one, which we liked, and because it could be installed effortlessly with the same mounting hardware.
