Convection option is great!

I enjoy having the convection option. During holidays and parties, it is nice to have additional ovens used (not microwaves.)
I actually own two of this same microwave, one is housed in our outside kitchen!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Installed GE Profile Appliances in 2011 new home. All appliances work fine except Convection/Microwave. Builder installed counter top Convection/Microwave with 30" trim kit for wall cabinet installation. In 6-1/2 years, had 2 repairs and unit has stop working for the 3rd time. Liked this unit when it worked. Will have to replace this discontinued unit because of reliability and continual cost for repairs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is not a convection oven, it is more like a regular oven, I purchased this one thinking I was getting a microwave oven and a convection oven so was disappointed in the fact that it bakes like a regular oven. I also agree that it is very difficult to keep clean. Not at all happy.

I have mixed feelings about this oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this countertop convection microwave does what it is supposed to: it microwaves things efficiently, it bakes things well, and it defrosts well. What I don't like is it's size; for the cooking and baking I do I prefered the GE over the stove micro-convection oven I had. It allowed me to use lasagna size pans and to have two levels for cooking. (My kitchen set-up in a new house didn't allow me to have that model.) Also this makes a lot of noise especially when I am using the convection. I wouldn't have anything but a microwave/convection. As I mentioned this one does what it is supposed to do, but doesn't have the flexibility of the over the stove model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We really like the many features on the Microwave. We have yet to use the convection oven feature though.

We would not recommend buying this item. Very noisy in any mode for the price paid for such a high end item. Not able to use the microwave for quite a while after using the convection oven, inconvenient. Suggest buying two different ovens (convection and microwave) if you have the space. We still use our old microwave in a different room to pop popcorn because this one doesn't pop it very well.
