Works great and nice appearance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the comparable GE microwave in our kitchen for 16 years with never a problem until the turning motor finally gave out two months ago. That degree of GE reliability and long-term durability convinced us to get the GE PEB2060DMBB model as our replacement microwave. (The comparable model we had for 16 years was discontinued by GE years ago.) We have not been disappointed with the PEB2060DMBB. It's very attractive, heats food evenly, and has well-designed control features.
We did encounter one disappointment but we still give this microwave top ratings. Our old GE microwave was installed for 16 years in a cabinet area, just above our GE electric range, using an optional GE "trim kit" that was designed for that model. Unfortunately, our new GE microwave, while comparable to their discontinued model that we replaced, won't fit in the old GE "trim kit". The very tight tolerances and fit measurements of the various metal brackets, holders, and front piece of our old GE "trim kit" are off by fractions of an inch and won't accept our new microwave model, even though it's the comparable model to the discontinued one.
We had to buy a new GE "trim kit" that's designed for installing the PEB2060DMBB model in a cabinet. We are very pleased with the new GE "trim kit" too, but wish that microwave dimensions (H x L x W) and/or the "trim kit" designs allowed for reusing the "trim kit" whenever GE modifies or changes features of its comparable microwave models over a period of years. It was a disappointment having to incur the added expense of also buying a new GE "trim kit".

great features

I love the feature where the clock does not have to be set to operate. Our power goes out often so all I have to do is press any button to operate. This is extremely convenient. The size allows for large recipes to be prepared. Cleaning is easy, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the GE Profile to replace an old white 1.5 cu ft oven that didn't match the other newer appliances. The 2.0 cu ft GE fit in the same space in the wall as the microwave it replaced. The GE is bigger on the inside and has many more useful features. We are very pleased with our choice.

The oven has amazing features that work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven has various features that work very well. It re-heats food to just the right temperature. The power level settings are great ans work fine. I like to be able to add time to a job as provided with the add 30 second button. I have been using the oven for several months now and the Help feature where you push "Help" and the button you need help with and it tells you the function and how it works.

Quit heating not even 3 years old!

My PEB2060DMBB with trim kit that matches my oven runs but will not heat. I see I cannot get a new one because they are discontinued. What can I replace it with that will fit in the custom hole I left in my new cabinets 3 years ago?

Custom install and quit after just 3 years

This oven works great. Until it stops.;-) then you find out they have changed the dimensions and design so that you 1.) need to buy a new oven, 2.) buy a new trim kit, 3.) potentially need to do more custom cabinet work to install the next one with it's unique trim kit. (i say potentially because i haven't examined the detail on the new trim kit yet but this is the third time i'll have done this. Looking for other options.

This product has everything I wanted and more...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old microwave died and I replaced it with one from a local store but it was so small I kept hitting the sides and top and spilling things. I donated it and bought this GE microwave and say how much I love it everytime I use it! The features are great and so easy to use. Instead of one item at a time, I can do several since it is so large. I bought it for size and price and think I got lucky with getting this one. I am so very happy with this model and hope to spend many years using it.
